An update from our APHA Chapter Rep in Tasmania

Our most recent member in the south of the state, Uta Green (Green Design Architects) has taken the chance to see how her new office rates in both NatHERS and Passive House software. She has written up her findings in Issue 56 of Sanctuary magazine. A seasoned architect along with her partner Dave, the Greens have decades of experience in the sustainability space including a number of walking huts in Tasmania’s National Parks.

Green Design Architects were also shortlisted in the Sustainability Awards for Waterfall Valley Hut – Overland Track. Read more here.

We are in the final stage of a funding application to bring an experienced Certified Passive House Tradesperson to the state in 2022. This is to conduct our one-day practical session for builders doing APHA’s Certified Passive House Tradesperson’s course. It is also an opportunity for builders new to Passive House to have a one day taster of Passive House training.

Keep an eye on our newsletter and social media for any further updates regarding this exciting news.
