ABOUT THE EVENT

Following the release of the prefabAUS' Prefabrication Industry Roadmap to 2033 at the end of 2023 and the Australian government’s announcement of their target to build 1.2 million new homes by 2029, there has never been more momentum and determination to move toward offsite construction.

We are using the four most critical recommendations from the Roadmap (as voted by our members) to drive the agenda of Offsite 2024. These are;

  • Position Smart Building within the National Housing Accord and other major projects

  • Embed Design for Manufacture and Assembly in major projects

  • Apply strategic public procurement to build scale

  • Create consistent nationwide standards and regulations

These recommendations will be explored in detail. What do they mean? How can they can be achieved?
