APHA 2023 Conference Theme Announcement: Sponsorship and Speaking Opportunities

South Pacific Passive House Conference 2023

The South Pacific Passive House Conference will be held for the first time in Sydney on 5 and 6 May 2023. We are excited to announce the theme of our event - THRIVE.

THRIVE

We have faced the harsh reality of the climate emergency in recent years. The 2019-20 bushfires were the most catastrophic bushfire events ever experienced in Australia’s history lives were lost, almost 19 million hectares burnt, and nearly billions of animals impacted. This unprecedented disaster, alongside extreme weather conditions, floods, and the pandemic, has presented us with an opportunity to reevaluate our priorities and understand the real value of being well.

Our health and the health of the planet are intrinsically connected.

This is where Passive House steps in, with proven solutions to improve health and well-being, and achieve comfortable, energy-efficient, and resilient buildings that empower occupants to thrive, whilst aiming to minimise the depletion of our planet’s precious resources.

CALL FOR PAPERS

We are eager to hear from a wide range of professionals who can all provide their unique experiences and perspectives. This may include expansions on the theme such as taking a deep dive into the mental and physical health benefits of passive house for individuals to thrive or the redistribution of money in economies with zero to no energy costs/ low operational building costs, or even the psychology of selling sustainable services to support APHA member businesses thrive, thriving supply chains to increase access to materials and much more.
