The Design/Build Process

Certified Passive House Designer, Simone Schenkel had a vision to build her own dream home. After moving to Australia, she was shocked about the quality of the homes, how cold they felt and how difficult it was to feel comfortable in them. She wanted to design a comfortable home to live in with her family. The result is the 20/20 Passive House.

The project is progressing well and in mid March, the plasterboard, timber flooring and tiles went in.

The home is on track for Passive House Certification with an initial blower door test of 0.37 ACH.

Simone hosted a site tour of her home which was open to the public on 29th April.
