Background and Brief
Located on a steeply sloping site with this wedge shaped site required some creative architecture to get the project to work. This resulted in a particularly complex PHPP and some interesting detailing to minimise thermal bridging.

Construction and on track for Passive House certification.
Challenges Faced
Multiple junctions and levels meant that there were a lot of thermal bridge details to work through to ensure compliance.

The multi-level living and green roof over the living room.
The Design/Build Process
Design with a cassette system in mind we set out to design a building that could be factory built and delivered to site in cassettes to ensure quality control and efficiency. None the less it is a highly complex building that cascades down the sloping site across multiple levels.
The Brief
With both clients having a European background it was important to design a home that was suitable for their young family but also include space for the Grandparents and other international guests to stay comfortably for extended periods of time. The house needed to have a strong connection the landscaping and pool.
